Axis Powers Hetalia fanart~
I know people don't like it, but you know why I do? Because it's like a giant soap opera that takes place on the world stage. How awesome is that?
I tend to think of the countries as people who have characters separate from the country they represent. Characters over countries. Them being countries just makes their character more interesting and multi-faceted. But that's just me!

One of my favorite time periods of American history was the Revolution, hence this picture.

Here I went for something resembling a poster...I made a collage of sorts for the background, with different symbols relating to that time period. Also had fun abusing textures to get that grungy look.

Hmm~

A-amazing D: I love the revolutionary war as well. The textures used are great, and I love their expressions. <3

this is epic. and yes, i am also quite in love with hetalia myself.

Thankies! <3 The American civil war is arguably more dramatic/bitter than the rev. war, but I still like reading about the rev. war better.

Haha, thank you. :D Cool thing about Hetalia is that it's a smart fandom. Educational and entertaining.

Ahh. Before APH, the American Revolution held no specific meaning to me other than America's newly-gained sovereignty. But then I discovered Hetalia. And now my eyes tear up a bit every time I think about it. History really has become so much more fun.
Onto the picture: I love the textures, and how serious it looks. The setup is just awesome. :+fav:

Hmmm random thoughts on the ARW with Hetalia. You know how a big thing was how the British were the red coats and easy to spot. Well I can see yeaaaaaaaars later, Al commenting on how it was so easy to defeat is army since he was in red and Arthur getting all tsundere and blushing saying, "Sh-Shut up!"

I have to admit...part of what makes this my favorite time period is the colonial outfits. 8D In fact, I tend to like a period based on its fashion...
Glad you like it!
